The Treasurer’s Office consists of the County Treasurer, the Deputy Treasurer and the Real Property Lister. The Richland County Treasurer’s Office performs treasury duties as determined by Wisconsin State Statutes and Richland County Board of Supervisors.
The Richland County Treasurer’s Office is responsible for collecting, receipting and depositing funds from all county departments. The Treasurer’s Office reconciles and maintains Richland County’s checking account and is responsible for investing county funds. The Treasurer’s Office is also responsible for transferring all first installment tax payments from the municipal treasurers to the County Treasurer’s tax records. The Richland County Treasurer’s Office collects and receipts postponed and delinquent real estate tax payments and calculates, balances, and administers tax settlements for all taxing jurisdictions. The Treasurer’s Office also prepares and mails postponed and delinquent tax notices, ag use conversion charge notices, lottery credit notices, along with performing various other duties.
